2. Data in the app

Wochenbiss works without an account. Household size, dietary goals, allergies, intolerances, dislikes, pantry stock, favourites, saved plans and shopping status are processed locally on your device. These entries are not sent to Mennilli Labs.

Optional personal carbohydrate settings, chosen limits per meal and your own product-label values are also stored locally. The app does not ask for a diabetes diagnosis. Saved plans and deliberately created data exports may contain these entries. You can turn the setting off and remove your own product values. Previously saved plans and exported copies must be deleted separately.

When you deliberately enable the new local connection under Connect household, Wochenbiss sends selected household data directly between open, paired devices on the same local network over an encrypted connection. This new connection does not share personal dietary profiles, allergies or Halal settings. A previous household connection that is still active may share personal profiles including those entries. Check the connection type and sharing selection before syncing, and stop an older connection separately if needed. No central Wochenbiss database or continuous cloud sync while away from the local network is used. Delivery-service credentials, passwords and payment data are excluded. The camera is used only after your action to scan a connection code; scan images and video are not saved or sent to Mennilli Labs.

At your request, the iPhone app sends a minimal extract to a paired Apple Watch: names, days and duration of planned meals, and shopping names, amounts, units and checked status. Allergies, intolerances, personal profiles, delivery-service credentials and payment data are not sent to the Watch. Siri and Shortcuts only open the app section you choose; no planning content is sent to Mennilli Labs for this.

For regional defaults, Wochenbiss reads only the device's country region and assigns Germany, Austria, Switzerland or the United States. This choice is saved locally and can be changed manually. No GPS data or precise location is requested, and the region is not sent to Mennilli Labs. US retailer links only open the external website; ingredients, profiles and private notes are not automatically transferred.

Shopping exports

With Share & export, you deliberately hand off selected shopping items, amounts, units, departments, checked status and existing product notes. Halal notes may be included; personal profiles and allergy entries are not. The preview shows the selection first. Wochenbiss does not send these exports to Mennilli Labs. Clipboard handling, destination apps and their sync follow their own settings and privacy terms. Delete copies in their destination separately.

Apple Reminders is used only after your export action and iOS permission. Each export creates a new list; existing reminders are not read or changed. Changes in Reminders are not synced back to Wochenbiss. Depending on Apple account settings, the new list may sync through iCloud. You can revoke access in iOS Settings. Text files use a temporary app cache: files older than 24 hours are cleaned up on the next text export, and the operating system may also remove cache files.

Store purchases and subscriptions

Apple or Google handles store accounts, payment, billing, cancellation and refunds under its own terms. For monthly and yearly Pro subscriptions, the Apple app receives product and transaction identifiers, entitlement status and expiry dates from StoreKit; the Android app receives corresponding purchase and entitlement data from Google Play Billing. On Apple devices only, Family can also be recorded as a purchase or Family Sharing entitlement for up to six people in an existing Apple family group. Sharing depends on the purchaser's settings, does not synchronise household data and does not grant an Android subscription. Purchase data determines access locally; no Mennilli Labs purchase server is used. Available features depend on the installed app version and the relevant store offering. Mennilli Labs does not receive card details through the app. Household, allergy and dietary entries are not sent to the store as part of entitlement checks. Store providers process purchase and technical data under their own privacy information. Apple also operates TestFlight and its diagnostics.

3. Tracking, advertising and analytics

The app contains no advertising, tracking or analytics/marketing SDKs used by Mennilli Labs. Mennilli Labs does not sell user data.

4. Allergy and health entries

Allergy and intolerance entries may be particularly sensitive. They serve filtering within the app. Deliberately using an older household connection may share them with personal profiles as described in section 2. Wochenbiss does not replace medical advice. Check ingredient lists, manufacturers' guidance and possible traces before buying or eating.

5. External providers

The app can open external shop and delivery-service websites or apps after your deliberate action. Their privacy terms then apply. Available providers depend on country, delivery area and current offering. Wochenbiss does not store or transfer personal delivery-service passwords and does not complete an order.

6. Manage and delete local data

The app offers no personalised advertising or tracking. See Privacy options for settings and Delete data for instructions. Remove app data through device settings or uninstall the app. Because no Wochenbiss account is created, there is no server-side account data.

7. Website data

When you access this website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary server logs, such as IP address, time, requested file, referrer, browser and operating system. This supports secure delivery and troubleshooting under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Logs are retained only as long as necessary for operation and security. This website uses no analytics or advertising cookies.

8. Contact

Data you provide when contacting us is processed to handle your request. Depending on the request, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. Data is deleted when no longer needed unless statutory obligations require retention.

9. Rights

Subject to the GDPR, data subjects have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. You may also complain to a supervisory authority. The authority at the controller's location is the North Rhine-Westphalia Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
